Getting to the point, I will explain you how to earn money through Freelancing.

Who is a Freelancer?

Freelancer is a person who is self-employed and does short-term projects for an individual or an organisation for which he is paid.

So for e.g if you are good at Photoshop and likes creating logos then you can become a freelancer and create logos for companies or website and get paid. I have seen people earning huge dollars in this logo business. The reason why I told you would love this is that you are doing what you are good at so you would not find it boring.

Fiverr is ranked no. 1 for freelancers where people would do everything for you for just $5. In simple terms for e.g I am good at HTML and CSS then I would sign up at fiverr and post a Gig titled “I will fix your CSS & HTML error for $5”. Now when someone who has some html or css errors on his website comes over to fiverr and searches for fix css for website, he would get a list of Gigs by various freelancers who have posted about fixing css error for website as below.

Now, what actually is Gig ? A Fiverr Gig is a kind of your mini-project or work which you want to sell. As in the screenshot above the gig is “I will fix your css / html errors / bugs / issues for 5$”. So now whoever has css error and searches in fiverr, finds this gig and first checks the details like how much past work he has done and how much has his previous buyers rated him etc. Then he can contact the seller of this gig through contact me shown in the screenshot and talk to me and once he is satisfied that this guy can solve his issue, he would order this gig.

Then the seller of this gig will get in touch and solve the problem and deliver the work and then mark the order as complete from his fiverr dashboard. Fiverr pays you $4 and takes $1 as commission once the buyer of your gig has marked the project as complete. You can withdraw your money immediately to your paypal account once you receive money in your Fiverr account.

I would suggest you to create a gig on all the things you are good at. I would list some handpicked Gigs below so you can get an idea that people post a Gig on almost everything from creating cartoons to just giving advise Gigs.

Freelancer has more than 8 million users someone of which earns their livelihood through it and earn more than 200$ per month by just freelancing. Freelancer works little bit differently, here the buyer post what he requires like “I want 1000 facebook likes on my page” and the freelancers who can complete the task then bid on the project and have a chance to message the buyer. Mostly the freelancer with least bid and good previous experience is selected to complete the project.
